The N-Tubrack, a hollow rack bar from Netsuren, is an item designed for miniaturization and weight reduction that can significantly contribute to improving automotive fuel efficiency.
Through Neturen's unique cold sequential forming technology, we can shape the rack teeth from pipes, enabling a weight reduction of up to 50% compared to solid materials. Additionally, by performing full circumferential quenching, we process products that maintain precision while achieving high strength. The rack teeth can be formed into a V.G.R. (Variable Gear Ratio) shape, allowing us to meet the needs for quick stroke end and increased manual assist force at the stroke end. Since 2016, we have started mass production of hybrid rack bar blanks that combine hollow rack bars with solid materials through friction welding to support double pinion EPS.
